  Making a Stoneware Teapot

Trimming the Lid

The lid is inverted on the potter's wheel and
the excess clay is trimmed away, leaving a deep
flange which will counterbalance the knob and
steady the lid when the teapot is tipped to pour.

Attaching the Lid Knob

The knob is attached to the trimmed lid.
